Utilizing our Frontenac Blanc (11 Rows planted in 2017), Frontenac Gris (12 Rows planted in 2017) and our La Crescent (11 Rows planted in 2018) from the West Vineyard, we capitalized on the characteristics of each to craft this wine
into a special blend. Although the Frontenac's may look similar walking the rows, Frontenac Gris is less shielded from the lake effect breeze in it's block. There is also a small grade running North to South in the Gris block which puts some plants slightly elevated above the canopy than compared to others. With some Oak Aging involved, the complexity of this White is heightened. Although blended to perfection, the sum of it's parts can be identified by a keen palate. In future Vintages, we will be showcasing each of these varieties solo to help hone in on the details of each Block year to year with their respective influence from that growing season.
